Hadra Ahmed Ibrahim
Co-founder / Executive Director
Hadra Ahmed Ibrahim leads as an award-winning journalist and filmmaker. She produces investigative documentaries and drives social change through media reform. Her work connects deep-rooted advocacy with global storytelling. As the Co-founder and Executive Director of Nubia Media and Communications, she leverages her extensive experience as a correspondent for global outlets like The New York Times and the BBC to lead high-stakes communication strategies and documentary projects. Hadra’s strength lies in her ability to uncover complex human stories and translate them into narratives that represent across cultural and geopolitical borders.
Nigussu Solomon Tesfaye
Co-founder / Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Nigussu Solomon is Ethiopia’s first and only Emmy Award-winning Director of Photography and a professional Electrical and Computer Engineer. This unique dual-lens allows him to approach visual storytelling with a rare blend of cinematic artistry and technical rgour. Nigussu films, edits, writes sound tracks, and colour grades for international documentaries and designs media workflows. He uses his technical and creative skills to tell authentic human stories. Since co-founding and as the Deputy Executive Director of Nubia Media and Communications, he has been instrumental in elevating African stories to the global stage.
Siyum Haileleul Alemayehu
Creative Director
Siyum Haileleul Alemayehu is a Creative Director and Cinematographer at Nubia Media and Communications, dedicated to the art of visual translation. With a focus on project-driven creative direction, Siyum specialises in transforming complex concepts into compelling, high-quality imagery. He carefully researches each project and subject, using insights to capture the raw human experiences. By bridging the gap between artistic vision and field execution, Siyum ensures that every Nubia Media project maintains a unique and impactful visual identity.
